Anyway, I'm pretty excited to get to these books. They're all contemporary books, which is definitely my favorite go-to genre to read. I feel like a lot of these would just sit on my shelf to rot for years and years to come, because I tend to pick up books with more hype because for some stupid reason I associate hype with quality, which isn't always the case.
My plans this month were to visit some underappreciated books. Books that have little to no hype at all. So I did something a little different with this month's POLL on Goodreads. Instead of the top 5 being the winners, I made the bottom 5 the winners instead. That way, these truly are the least hyped books I own. So the losers are! These are the ones I will definitely be reading. I'm sure I'll read more too, I'll just prioritize these ones first. If you're curious what the type five were, here those are: If I have time, I may pick up a few of these too. It's funny because when I made predictions in my head of which ones I thought you guys would pick, these were pretty much it. Based on the covers, I KNEW people would want me to read Princess of Thorns most of all. I also figured that Laurie Halse Anderson's book would end up in the top as well. I guessed Dreamstrider would make the cut as well. The only surprise here is Death Cloud, which is about young Sherlock Holmes. I've been told it was pretty dumb and yet here it is in the top.
