This past week was a rough one for me. I didn't have much time to read with all the stressful things that were going on in my life. Even so, I managed to finish 2 books. Keep reading to find out what I thought of them. The storyline in the first book was so special and unique but this one didn't have much going for it as far as plot was concerned. It was more immature than the first book and the only thing that made it good was the fact that I LOVE the two main characters Ollie and Moritz so much. All in all, I felt like this sequel wasn't exactly needed but if you read and loved the first book, you may appreciate this book. This is definitely not a stand alone read. When I went on Goodreads, I noticed that a lot of people have mixed feelings about this book. Some people love it to bits. Some people think it stinks worse than my brother's socks after a long day of work. Some people are just meh about it. I personally loved it. I loved Charlie and I found myself relating to him a lot (which is kind of sad because he's a bit of a strange kid haha). If you know what it feels like to be the "weird kid" than I think you'll like this book. I saw some people argue that Charlie seemed immature and didn't talk like a 15-year-old and to that I say pooey! Not all 15-year-olds have the same level of maturity. A friend of mine that had Asperger's acted even more immature than Charlie at that age. Everyone is different, and I thought that Charlie's perspective was refreshing and unique. I would definitely recommend this book, because even if you end up hating it, I think there's still a lot to gain from exploring Charlie's point of view. So that's it!
